An evening with Spats Langham and his Hot Combination. They are a very popular band who attract audiences from all ages and musical tastes, with music ranging from Jump-Jive to swing, from the Charleston to Bossa-Nova, Hot Finger’s wide range of styles and rhythms makes them popular with both sit-down audiences and dancers. Led by the effervescent Spats Langham on Banjo, Guitar, Ukulele and Vocals, Malcolm Sked (Double Bass/Tuba), Emily Campbell (Vocals/Triangle) and multi-instrumentalist Danny Blythe on Guitar, Mandolin, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet and Harmonica this quartet certainly know how to cook. Emily Campbell adds a touch of class with her plaintive vocals, drawing inspiration from the likes of Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald. Spats Langham has a great ear for unearthing great and unusual tunes, and was described by the late Humphrey Littleton as ‘a Jazz Archeologist!’ This is a great opportunity to experience a very popular and top class band we can be assured of a musical treat. There will be room for dancing!! Tickets are £14 to include a ploughmans supper. Supper at 7.30pm, Music from 8pm.
