A HAUNTING IN VENICE

‘A Haunting in Venice’ is set in eerie, post–World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Not retired and living in self-imposed exile in the the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a seance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests are murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.
Starring Kenneth Branagh, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Yeoh
Doors open from 7pm. Film start 7.30pm. A licensed bar and snacks will be available.
Whitchurch & Ganarew Memorial Hall’s Jazz Evenings 2024
Saturday 18th May – Jeremy Huggett’s Chosen 5
The Chosen 5 features some of the UK’s top musicians and performs a mixture of Traditional & Mainstream Jazz with the odd hint of Blues & a selection of Bossa Novas.
The Band is led by Award Winning Musician, Jeremy Huggett, on Saxes, Flute & Vocals. He is joined by Gethin Liddington (trumpet), Tom Berge (piano), Pasquale Votino (double bass) & Ryan Thrupp (drums).
Making their debut at our Jazz Club, the Band’s lively & exciting repertoire guarantees that this will be a swinging session that is definitely not to be missed!
Saturday 12th October – Pedigree
Chris Walker and the Pedigree Five will be returning to present us with MARDI GRAS MEMORIES, the story of Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
Saturday 7th December – Hot Fingers
Tom (Spats) Langham and the Hot Fingers Jazz Band, together with vocals from Emily Campbell. Hot Fingers take you on a musical journey starting with ragtime, red hot jazz,
low down blues of the twenties and into the sophisticated swing and crooners of the thirties.
Tickets to all the above events are £15, and start at 7.30 pm
There is likely to be a great demand for these evenings and places can only be secured with early payments in advance.
