The intention of this website is to support Whitchurch & Ganarew Memorial Hall and to promote its facilities to local people and groups who wish to make use of the Memorial Hall and its function rooms.
The Memorial Hall is a Charity run by a small but active Committee and we are often in need of some extra help. We are setting up a Friends of the Hall group , in particular we need help with: · Practical support, setting up the Hall for events , Flicks in the Sticks film showings, Jazz Nights, Quizzes, talks on matters of local interest and clearing up afterwards · Serving behind the Bar which sells very reasonably priced drinks at our events· Helping to serve food, donating cakes , (always very much appreciated!)· Delivering flyers in your neighbourhood. The Hall is over 100 years old and is a very popular venue for social events in our community. It’s a great base for sports ( Bowls, Snooker ) Dance, ( Ballet and Silver Swans) Yoga, Dog training, Table tennis and private hires. Could you offer your help? as much or as little as you are able.
